Quality Solar. Done Right.

As more and more people “go green”, more and more solar companies are born. New companies seemingly pop up overnight to take advantage of this new technology. The demand for solar energy has increased dramatically. Solar is the fastest growing electricity source in the United States, growing at an average growth rate of 42% over the last decade.[1] With this immense growth, what makes Texas Solar different from other companies that enter the marketplace?

At Texas Solar, we firmly believe that relationships are essential between customers and our partners, with an emphasis on transparency and trust. With installation crews, service technicians, and surveyors all over the state of Texas, our goal is to do things right the first time, regardless of where our customers live. Texas Solar has successfully installed thousands of residential solar systems, making us a powerhouse in the solar industry in the state. Our motto is: “Quality Solar. Done Right.”

Our offices are filled with people who are ready to serve our clients. The atmosphere is buzzing with energy. The office has an open-concept layout with friendly people who are passionate about solar and are constantly talking with customers to get projects started, continued, and completed.

Our executive team is as follows:
· CEO — Mike Sardo
· CFO — Jim Drought
· Production Head — Jim Coffee
· Director of Business Development — Wade Turner
· Director of Communications — Mark Buley

Our office layout allows our team members to be grouped within departments to increase efficiency and flow of information. Our team comprises of specific departments that own each part of the process, namely construction, sales, finance, utility, permitting, training and coordination, communications. Our office includes a conference room for executive meetings, a main office area with monitoring screens that allow all departments to see where crews are operating statewide based on GPS, and a project status board that is updated daily based on project completion status.

Our warehouse is also located on site, storing the spare parts needed for installations throughout the state.

There are multiple benefits of working with Texas Solar throughout the process of installation. Our team provides weekly real-time timeline reports, and we have a dedicated customer communications and support team. Our teams are interconnected using a project management software and a team collaboration app. Customer queries are answered in real time, and there is no lag regarding internal processes.

Each project follows the same streamlined process:

Start: Our customers realize the need to go solar and are presented information.

Step 1:A contract with Texas Solar is signed and we onboard the customer by reviewing all documents to ensure the project moves forward quickly.

Step 2: A site survey is scheduled and conducted at the customer’s home. Our state-of-the-art process involves a combination of drones, satellite imagery, and manual mapping.

Step 3: The design of the solar panels is created digitally, and a plan set is created, highlighting the proposed construction.

Step 4: Approval is received from the appropriate utility company, government agencies, and the local housing authority.

Step 5: Once all agencies have provided approval, Texas Solar works with the homeowner to schedule construction of solar panels two weeks in advance.

Step 6: Construction is typically completed within a 2-day time frame. Our crews ensure quality installation done in a punctual and efficient manner.

Step 7: After construction is complete, inspections are conducted, and the utility companies give final approval to operate the system.

Step 8: Monitoring information is presented to the homeowner and we remain available to assist the homeowner at any time.

Happy ending: The customer producing energy.

About Solar Energy

Solar panels are installed on roofs and/or mounted on the ground. These panels are connected to the utility grid and provide power. Systems can be designed to provide power directly to the home, as well as to provide energy back to the utility company, frequently allowing for an energy credit.

There are many benefits to having solar. First, customers have the capability of generating free electricity for the system’s entire 25+ year lifecycle. Even if the panels don’t produce 100% of the energy consumed by the home, the system will still reduce utility bills and save the homeowner money. Solar panels are also a great way to invest; “The average American homeowner pays off their solar panel system in seven to eight years and sees a Return of Investment of 20 percent or more.”[2] Another advantage is that properties with solar systems tend to have an increased property value than those without solar.

Solar energy supports the United States in gaining independence from the global energy market by use of an independent, free-standing energy source which protects us from price fluctuations. It also creates jobs, as installations cannot be outsourced. Finally, solar panels decrease the amount of carbon emissions in the United States. “A typical residential solar panel system will eliminate three to four tons of carbon emissions each year — the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.”[2] There are so many benefits to going solar, and we would love to earn your business.
